The Queen is set to make a public outing this afternoon at Royal Ascot 2015 - and many are predicting she'll be wearing her lucky colour again.
Those favouring a purple dress this year are not without reason; Her Majesty The Queen has struck lucky in recent years wearing elegant purple attire.
In June 2012, her horse ‘Estimate’ pipped the others to the post during the ‘Queen Vase’ race, while in June 2013 she won the Gold Cup with the same horse, both times whilst wearing the luckiest colour, purple.
Fashion Stylist and Dove Ambassador Alex Longmore says of Her Majesty’s style: “Confidence is the key with colour andHRH Queen Elizabeth is no stranger to wearing a spectrum of bold, beautiful colours.
"She commands a great deal of excitement as to what she’ll wear next. Purple has been lucky for her before so perhaps she’ll once again opt for this lucky hue on this special day."
Ahead of the most colourful day of the year - Ladies Day at Ascot - beauty brand Dove has revealed UK womens' luckiest colours - with regal purple coming out top.
With all eyes on the array of brightly coloured dresses, violet and lavender shades are predicted to dominate in a bid to bring luck at the esteemed race day.
Questioned on why they consider a particular colour ‘lucky’, a whopping 40 per cent admit specific colours make them feel more confident – and confidence is the key to feeling lucky.
The Dove Invisible Dry colour poll comes as thousands of women head to Ascot Ladies Day on arguably the most colourful day of the social calendar.
Dove Brand Manager Tom Stone spoke about the campaign: "Ladies Day at Ascot is a fantastic opportunity for women to feel truly colour confident on such a glamorous day.
"Seeing purple emerge as the nation’s luckiest colour is exciting - I expect to see racecourses nationwide awash with an array of lavender and violet shades!"
Dove Invisible Dry’s current Little Colourful Dress campaign is inspiring women everywhere to embrace confidence-boosting colourful clothing without the worry of unwanted deodorant marks.
