Amanda Seyfried has advised anyone who is feeling uninspired in their life to cut their hair.
The 29-year-old actress swapped her long blonde locks for a choppier 'do back in July.
And the Ted 2 star is more than happy with her makeover, advising anyone feeling "uninspired" in their lives to hit the salon.
"I f***ing love it!" Amanda told People at the TargetStyle, in Vogue New York Fashion Week party in the Big Apple on Wednesday night.
"When in doubt -- anything -- you're depressed, you're really uninspired in your life -- cut your f***ing hair. I swear to God. And then give it away."
Following her haircut, Amanda revealed she's planning to donate the remainder of her 13-inch ponytail to Locks of Love - a non-profit organisation that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children.
Amanda looked stunning for the occasion in a navy blue velvet REDValentino dress teamed with a Target necklace.
While Amanda is keen on her shorter look, she won't be opting for a pixie cut anytime soon.
"I have this really weird bump on the back of my head like a valley -- two hills and a valley," she said. "It's not good. I would have no male suitors."
Amanda made the decision to cut her hair while shooting a campaign for Clé de Peau Beauté - the makeup and skincare label she is the face of.
And when one of the team members suggested it might be time for Amanda to cut her hair, she jumped at the chance.
"I did it for work," Amanda said. "I've been doing this campaign for years, and I always felt like they essentially owned my hair, and I was happy about that.
"On a shoot for them with Orlando Pita, they were like 'You should cut your hair if you want to,' and I'm like, 'I do.' And then it all came off. It felt like a lot."
