Rumour has it Cara Delevingne has officially quit modelling to become a full-time actress. A comment left by Love magazine on an Instagram post has sent rumours flying that Cara has left Storm Model Management. The magazine said simply, "She has left storm" on a picture of the supermodel.
Although neither Cara nor Storm have commented on the rumour, the news doesn't come as a major shock as Cara has been backing away from her modelling career for a while now.
Speaking to WSJ Magazine, Cara said, "I don't want to be a cliche: model-slash-actress," suggesting that she will eventually make a formal break from the modelling scene to fully pursue her acting career. Taking lead roles in films like Paper Towns and Suicide Squad, Cara's acting career is certainly starting to take off and she has made no secret of the fact that she wants to be an actress, not a model.
Having only walked for Chanel and no other designers in the past year, Cara's disappearance from the modelling scene has not gone unnoticed. Taking a major step back in terms of catwalks and campaigns suggests that it will only be a matter of time before she's officially an actress, rather than a "model-slash-actress".
The stunning star is currently in New York where she attended Stella McCartney's Cuban-themed bash on Monday. Taking to the event with her rumoured new girlfriend, St Vincent, Cara looked amazing in a pink horse-printed jacket and her fave Fendi sunnies that she just can't stop wearing.
Whether Cara has officially left Storm remains to be seen, but what we can say for sure is that her modelling career looks set to come to an end at some point in the future. Sob.
