The brand which had a presence in Malaysia several years ago, returned with a 2,563sqm store that features a fresh design concept in the form of a distinctive golden façade.

Designed by Sungjoo Design Tech & Distribution Inc,. the interior features clean lines with neutral tones inspired by MCM’s signature brass plate designs.

Founded in 1976, MCM established itself as a global luxury brand by crafting leatherwear with a refined mastery of skills, handcrafting elegant products with flawless quality materials.

The heritage of the brand is built around its instantly distinct “Cognac Visetos” – an iconic design used with great effect on MCM’s famed items which combines the MCM logo, laurel and diamond.

Using other fine details such as brass features and leather trims, each MCM item bearing the Cognac Visetos design becomes a luxurious classic.

The MCM backpack took the fashion scene by storm when it was spotted on A-list celebrities and World Cup stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr., Rain, Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Beyonce to name a few.

Known to craft luxury leather goods, apparel and footwear, the store houses the brand’s latest collection of stuffed animals, bags and small leather goods for both men and women from its Autumn/Winter 2014 collection.

Shifting the lens from utopia to the empowering androgyny of a digital space, MCM engages that as the inspiration behind the collection aptly entitled “Digital Soldiers”.

Each piece in the collection pays homage to the clash of the digital and physical reality for discerning global nomads.

Luscious textural contrasts and audacious colours such as pixelated jaguar graphic motifs layered with networked grids of armour studded detailing and innovative Camo Lion seasonal pattern are updated on lambskin and cowhide nappa leathers, making it a truly unisex yet ruggedly finesse collection.
